Ariel assists clients with pricing and structuring municipal debt issuances and a range of derivative products. A CFA Charter holder, he provides due diligence on municipal issuances and credit assessments of municipal bonds.
Prior to joining FSL, Ariel was an Associate at BlackRock on the Municipal Credit Research team where he was responsible for the credit coverage of more than 2,000 unique obligors, totaling approximately $22 billion in par amount. He provided investment recommendations for various platforms through the monitoring of headline risks, downgrade probabilities and macroeconomic factors for rated and unrated municipal bonds. Previous to this role, he was Assistant Vice President on the Treasury team of Bank Leumi USA where he helped manage the bank’s fixed income portfolio, which included investment grade corporate and municipals bonds, agency debt, agency MBS and agency CMOs. At Leumi, he also executed interest rate swaps and swaptions on behalf of clients with outstanding loans.
